In addition to teaching trumpet at the SC Governor’s School and Converse University, I teach students of all ages at my home studio located minutes from downtown Greenville.

Many of my young students have held positions in the Carolina Youth Symphony, GCYO, Spartanburg Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Honors Band, and All-State and All-Region bands. 

My primary focus for the student is (1) creating a solid foundation by developing—and understanding—proper playing mechanics, tone, and technique through the use of etudes, solos, various method books, duets, and orchestral and jazz literature; as well as (2) learning to be a musician by developing the listening skills necessary to hear the nuances of style and sound.

Availability is very limited. I teach some weekday afternoons, no weekends. The student must arrive on time and be warmed up and ready to play. Please contact me for my current fee.
